Time Savers (excerpt) Hospitality Technology Magazine Ed Kopp, the director of IT for Windmill Inns, says Windmill has used Ramesys (www.us.ramesys.com) in its day-to-day business operations for 10 years. Ramesys’ UNIX-based ImagInn property management system is user friendly and versatile for Windmill operators, Kopp says. Most helpful is Ramesys’ MPower—a customer relationship management system providing a daily download of the individual properties’ information into a central SQL database. The MPower database produces reports (on anything from daily financials, forecasting, to administrative phone use) and cuts 40-hours of data entry into a four hour a week job, Kopp says. “It’s a huge time saver.” Hoteliers say customer-relationship management technologies also allow executives to manage employee response time. Applications can tell management if it takes housekeeping six hours a day to deliver extra towels to guest rooms. But the real value of CRM is its ability to keep guests loyal and coming back more and more often. |
