Summer Exhibition at Royal Academy London

Held without interruption since 1769, the Summer Exhibition displays works in variety of mediums and genres by emerging and established contemporary artists. This is one event that I rarely miss and I try to make a whole day outing every year.

A few iPhone snaps from when I visited last week.

"The Dappled Light of the Sun" by Conrad Shawcross RA

Large-scale, geometric, cloud-like forms made of thousands of tetrahedrons in weathering steel. Beautiful!

"Zobop" by Jim Lambie - Coloured Vinyl Tape. The colourful stripes have a sort of Paul Smith vibe!
